About Shard

Building the Future
of Ownership.

We’re building Shard so more people can invest in real assets with an amount that suits them. We’re starting with property, bringing investors together to own a stake without buying an entire building.

Our Mission

Democratize real estate ownership.

Shard exists to lower barriers to real estate ownership by providing clearer, technology-supported investment infrastructure for eligible investors.

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to participate in wealth creation through real estate without needing the capital to purchase a whole building.

Our Vision

Africa’s leading ownership infrastructure platform.

To become trusted infrastructure through which eligible people across Africa can evaluate and access real-world-asset opportunities, subject to the rules where they live.

"Own a fraction of something larger."
The problem

Property was always there. Access was not.

You’ve saved some money and want to put it into property. Then you check the price of a flat in Lagos or a commercial building in Abuja, and realise you still have a long way to go.

The purchase price is only the beginning. There are title checks, legal fees, repairs and tenants to manage. Even when you can afford a property, you may not want that responsibility.

Shard is being built for people who want to invest in property without having to buy and manage an entire building.

How Shard helps

We rebuilt the paperwork, not the building.

Shard brings investors together to fund a property investment, with opportunities intended to start from ₦500,000. Each investor’s stake and rights are set out in the investment documents.

Before you commit, you should be able to understand the property, who holds it, the fees, how rental income is shared and the conditions for getting your money out.

You shouldn’t need to be a property expert to understand where your money is going.

A building does notcare who owns it.

Its available cash follows the rights in its legal documents. Our job is to make those rights, records, costs and risks visible.
